Hockey Manitoba has asked all Minor Hockey Associations to ensure that any team official placed on a roster is certified in accordance to Hockey Manitoba regulations:

Please be advised of the Hockey Manitoba/Hockey Canada rules and deadlines regarding the rostering of a Safety person for sanctioned teams. The following regulations are listed on page 131 of the Hockey Manitoba Constitution, Regulations and & Rules of Competition handbook.

Mandatory Helmet Use

It has been brought to the attention of Hockey Manitoba that some coaches are not in compliance with the regulation that requires all minor hockey coaches to wear a CSA approved helmet during all Hockey Manitoba on-ice sanctioned activities.

There is presently much speculation as to the impact that the H1N1 virus will have on Canadians over the next few months. Organizations have been urged to stress to their members steps that should be taken to prevent the spread of the virus, and to have plans in place to alleviate any hardships that may come of the spread of H1N1.
